Photograph of Cape Town Cathedral, 1976

 Sub-Fonds
Reference Code: GBR/0115/RCS/RCMS 113/65
Scope and Contents

A photograph of a watercolour depicting a Roman Catholic cathedral in Cape Town. The size of the copy, 14" x 9¾", is identical to the original painting, which was presented to the Society by Miss M. Pigot Moodie in 1939, and sold through C.J. Sawyer in December 1975. Pencilled at the bottom of the picture is 'Roman Catholic Cathedral' and 'Bowler 1888'. Frank R. Bradlow, a writer on Bowler, considered the painting to be an authentic Bowler, and that the date was a later addition.

Dates: 1976
