A collection of coloured matt photographs, all measuring 127 x 89 mm. The envelope is annotated: '1980. 9 photos - Zululand - are of 'Makhalafukwe' the shanty town inside Melmoth 'white' area. These people have got permission to take up jobs in Melmoth! (mostly for Government servants!) Their employers are whites, working in KwaZulu'. The photographs were taken by Wren Robinson.

The cover of the album is annotated: 'Photos show School-Feeding and Teaching thro' Zulu 'Home-Maker Clubs' holding courses in Nutrition and Cooking at KwaNzimela Centre, KwaMagwaza Mission, Melmoth, Zululand. 1975-1976. A collection of photographs of Basutoland (now Lesotho) and Zululand, some loose, some in albums, taken or collected by Mrs Wren Robinson while engaged in educational and welfare work. Most have handwritten captions either underneath or on the back by Mrs Robinson. The prints are kept with her papers at RCMS 220.
