Contains slides recording a visit to Guyana in 1970 though there is no indication whether it was in an official capacity. The earlier slides show aerial views flying inland from the coast, followed by a journey up the Rupununi River to the border with Brazil. The return route was apparently to the north of the outward journey and included a series of aerial photographs of the Kaieteur Falls.

Scope and Contents From the File: Contains slides mainly in thick plastic frames marked 'Photopia', made in Germany, dark grey with a red top. The exceptions are numbers 72-75 in Kodachrome cardboard frames which link up with C and numbers 37-38 and 99-103 which are in silver Sytec frames. Some of the frames have brief captions pencilled on them, but these are very hard to read. Others have labels stuck on. A roughly written numbered list was in the original box. Scope and Contents A printed volume containing an account of a trip to the Kaieteur Falls in British Guiana, illustrated with twenty-one albumen prints measuring approximately 200 x 140 mm., with manuscript captions. As well as an account of the journey by H.S.B. the volume reprints the report of Charles B. Brown to the Geographical Society (dated July 1871) of the latter's trip to the falls. The prints show scenes on the river taken during the journey. The expedition of H.S.B. to the Kaieteur...

Hunziker's Leap, Port Stephens, 1900 - 1950

200 x 150 mm. 'The chasm leads to the sea. Hunziker is said to have jumped it on horseback while chasing cattle.' Johann Friedrich Hunziker (1836 - 1907) was flock master and first farm manager at Port Stephens.
