In addition to these two memoirs, the file also includes a copy of 'The story of Singapore' by Sir George Sansom, and a note by Thomas stating that he had been ignored by the Official History Committee when it was preparing its final draft (83 sheets).

Two annotated drafts of an article by Hugh Bryson describing how the tribute of golden and silver trees and flowers was sent from the Sultan of Kedah to King Edward VII in 1909, following the transfer of the suzerainty of Kedah from Siam to Britain. There is also a letter from Bryson to the Royal Archives at Windsor, enquiring about their location (7 sheets).
