A coloured panorama mounted on linen, 5487 x 355 mm. in size. The picture is described on the back as an 'original unpublished panorama of Bombay taken from the top of Sir Jenisedjie Jeejeebhoy's house - drawn and coloured on the spot by T. Wingate'. There are inscriptions indicating points of interest.

The panorama is taken from a pier in the harbour looking back towards the waterfront. At the left (south) are waterfront houses and jetties with a landing wharf piled high with barrels and sacks of provisions in the centre. The photograph is taken from a similar viewpoint to Y3022EE. In this view the area of the lake to the east of the Willow Bund has been filled in and the ground taken over by part of the racecourse and tennis courts. This work was undertaken between 1896 and 1899. The town itself has grown considerably in this period between the two photographs,...
