Scope and Contents

168 x 94 mm. Showing the Prince of Wales approaching the Governor, Sir Laurence GUILLEMARD (obscured behind aide) and other officials in Empress Place. In front of the Prince stands the Rt. Revd. Charles James [i.e. Robert] FERGUSON-DAVIE (1872-1963), Bishop of Singapore 1901-1927 and at the end of the procession is Sir Walter Sidney SHAW (1863-1937), Chief Justice of the Straits Settlements 1921-1925.

122 x 71 mm. Crossing the Perak near Kuala Kangsar, Lindsay Vears on right. Showing the four elephants and their passengers crossing the Perak River. The Sultan of Perak, Sir Iskander Shah is seated on the elephant at the left, Sir Laurence and Lady Guillemard on the next elephant, an unidentified couple on the third and Lindsay Vears (no further information) on the fourth. Guillemard was Governor of the Straits Settlements 1919-1927.
