Head and shoulders portrait of Sir William Thomas Taylor, 1848-1931, 1899 - 1920

Scope and Contents

170 x 225 mm. Taylor was a contemporary of Sir Alexander Swettenhams in Cyprus and Colonial Secretary of the Straits Settlements 1902-1904, Resident General of Federated Malay States 1905-1910.

Sir John Anderson and suite at Istana of Sultan of Selangor circa 1905, 1905

Scope and Contents 273 x 228 mm (mounted on card). A group photograph taken in front of the Palace of the Sultan at Kuala Lumpur. Originally dated 1904, the photograph can however have been taken in 1905 at the earliest, since Sir William Taylor wears the order of the K.C.M.G awarded to him in that year.
