From the Item:
Concerning a chart for finding longitude and a method of finding longitude by two proportional quadrants. Includes a letter of recommendation from the passengers and crew of HMS York where Titford's chart for longitude was tested on a voyage to Jamaica in 1813, as well as latitude and longitude figures from a voyage of HMS Mary Ann to Jamaica in 1822.
