Daily log entries, covering the voyage from Tierra del Fuego to South Georgia Island, and towards the South Sandwich Islands. Three maps are included. An entry for 3 January describes Staten Land [Staten Island] of which he says ‘It did not appear to me by far so frightful as it seems to have done to the relator of Lord Anson’s voyage’.
