Scope and Contents Astronomical observations made in the course of a voyage to the Northern Pacific Ocean in HMS Providence, commanded by William Robert Broughton, Esquire. These were compiled by the astronomer John Crosley. Observations begin in October 1794 when the ship left England and end on 16 May 1797 when the ship struck a coral reef and was lost.
