Scope and Contents The title page, initial-letters, etc. are variously ornamented with gold and colours. The work is a translation of the 'Trattato utilissimo del heneficio di Giesu Christo crocifisso verso i Christiani.' which has been ascribed by many to Aonio Paleario. Prefixed to the treatise is a dedication to 'Anne, Duches of Somerset,' by the translator 'Edwarde Courtney,' Earl of Devon, then a 'sorowfull captiue' in the Tower.
