This series includes both technical scientific articles and those written about other scientists, and the place of science within society. Most of the articles are from printed journals and other scientific publications.

This series includes photographs of apparatus, laboratories, scientists, award ceremonies and visits abroad.

This series consists of a number of photographs and slides of scientists and models. There are also some negatives. Much of the material has been copied from secondary published sources and is highly likely to have been used in Max Perutz's own lectures and publications. Negative numbers for the MRC LMB photographs are provided on the back of many.
