Obits for 1289-1507 from the 'Nomina Monachorum' register of Christ Church, Canterbury, transcribed by W.G. Searle, 129 folios. Attached to fo. 64 is a letter from J.M. Cowper to Searle, 2 May 1901. Fos 1-19 and 64-129 are blank, apart from a few pencilled entries.

A clipping from The Times relates to the Memorial Service for Frank Young. The file also includes lists of guests, orders of services and drafts, as well as correspondence. The correspondence include condolences, wishes of Lady Young and planning for the Memorial Service.

Some of these were sent to the Bursar or Master and answered by the Masters Secretary however most of them are sent to the College Secretary. Information was requested in relation to fellows, Grants for History, Teacher of History, Historical Register of the University, Research Assessment Exercise, Obituary Notices, College Dining Privilege, Cambridge Pocket Diary, and the Faculty of History's preliminary list.

This series of papers mostly comprises copies of book reviews published in London and New York, and obituaries written largely by Max Perutz. Some of the files contain reference material for the article, and correspondence about editing and intended publication.
