Telegram from Admiralty to the Commander-in-Chief, Home Fleet [Admiral Sir John Jellicoe], passing on a report from the Intelligence Officer at St John's, Newfoundland [Canada], that the British Consul-General in New York [United States] had been informed confidentially by Herman Rusder, that a German Cruiser Squadron intended to strike somewhere in the North Atlantic within a few days.
