This collection forms part of the Queen Mary Collection on India. There are 29 albums. The collection falls into several groups:1: Visit of the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII) to India in 1875-1876; 2 and 3 Malta and Ceylon on the Royal Tour 1901.; 4-19 and 29; Visit to India in 1905-1906. A collection of 126 family photographs, with an undated linking narrative illustrating personal matters and giving an account of the Raj. The typescript describes the association of the author's family with India from the 1890s, when her grandparents, the Wrenches, were in the country, up to her father's retirement. 22 watercolours (195 x 125 mm or the reverse); two pencil, and one pen and ink sketches; and one albumen print. Originally these items were loosely mounted in an album measuring 235 x 183 mm, but have been removed and individually sleeved for reasons of conservation.
