Modern Commonwealth photograph collection

Scope and Contents This broad heading has been used to cover a substantial collection of loose prints, dating chiefly from the period 1960-1982, but including a few of earlier date. Newscuttings on Africa and South East Asia

Scope and Contents

The principal part of the collection is a set of thirteen scrapbooks of newscuttings relating to East Africa, particularly Kenya and Tanganyika. The rest of the collection consists of a volume of cuttings relating to post-war trading opportunities in Nigeria and three scrapbooks concerning rubber and mining in South East Asia.

School Empire Tours Record 1927-1939

Scope and Contents A collection of photographs, by various photographers, relating to School Empire Tours, probably compiled by Miss Margaret Best.
