Historical and General views of Cyprus
A collection of loose prints. All are 250 x 200 mm unless otherwise stated. There are brief typed captions on the backs of the prints, some of which have been elaborated or amended for this catalogue. Some of the prints are organised by subject: 12 - 19 concern the Turkish invasion and its aftermath; 20-26 are images of people and places; 27-28 concern antiquities.

A panorama composed of 6 joined prints measuring 1092 x 151 mm. A small part of the caption is illegible having been inked over. The panorama is taken from a pier in the harbour looking back towards the waterfront. At the left (south) are waterfront houses and jetties with a landing wharf piled high with barrels and sacks of provisions in the centre. At the right, four soldiers on a jetty watch the photographer. Photograph by E. Carletti and Co.

A collection of loose prints, measuring approximately 150 x 105 mm, with pencilled captions on the reverse. An accompanying letter to the Librarian of the Royal Colonial Institute, J.R. Boosé, dated April 17 1900, gives some additional information about the photographs and promises further prints 'if these are of any use'.
