Album containing silver prints of various sizes. The photographs depict Buchanan-Smith's outward voyage to the Seychelles in 1939 and also views in the Seychelles, mainly of scenery but including Government House. Other photographs relate to official and social activities.

Modern Commonwealth photograph collection

Scope and Contents This broad heading has been used to cover a substantial collection of loose prints, dating chiefly from the period 1960-1982, but including a few of earlier date. Papers of Rodney Carrington Wood

Religious writings of Charles Gordon

The title page records that 'these papers were written by Chinese Gordon and given by him to James Macalister, during a voyage from Port Elizabeth to Plymouth, on board the 'Kinfauns Castle', Oct. 13-Nov. 6. 1882'.
