Scope and Contents
The collection was originally housed in seven boxes, four of which were specially made with individual slots for slides. These were numbered 3, 6, 10 and 11 and the remaining boxes were unnumbered. Presumably these formed part of a larger collection, but nothing is known of the original owner or the fate of any other boxes. For conservation reasons, the collection has since been re-boxed. Scope and Contents
Collection of albumen prints by various photographers. The prints are of various sizes and show views of Europe, Malta in 1860 (numbers 12-26), Middle East and India. Numbers 93-145 relate to a visit to India in 1880, although the prints themselves are views taken in the 1860s mainly by Samuel Bourne. The majority of the prints have handwritten captions.
