Modern Commonwealth photograph collection

Scope and Contents The collection was originally housed in seven boxes, four of which were specially made with individual slots for slides. These were numbered 3, 6, 10 and 11 and the remaining boxes were unnumbered. A collection of loose albumen prints. These topographical views cover Hong Kong, the Chinese Treaty ports (a good selection of material from Shanghai) and Japan. Many of the Japanese prints are hand-coloured. It appears in the Supplement to the Library Catalogue published in 1901.
