Includes covering letter from C.E. Scarse to Charles E. Grant

A collection of bills for books purchased by J.H. Bradshaw from W. Phillips, Cuthell, Upcott, Arch, Dulau, Longman, Boone and Milliken. On fos 108-114 are bills due to T. and W. Boone from Mrs Pease, 1838-1845. There are 114 folios in total, of which fos 6-30 are blank.

Correspondence preserved on account of its philatelic interest, and comprising mainly postcards addressed to F.J.H. Jenkinson, Librarian, and other members of the Library staff, together with a few addressed to Alfred Newton, Professor of Zoology, and other members of the University. The senders were booksellers or private individuals. A few of the postcards are unsigned or signed only with initials.

Notes and rough list of books presented by George Lewis, 1727, with two annotated copies of catalogue to the same, and specimen of the bookplate of Aurangzeb dated A. H. 1081 (1670-1).

Inside front cover: 'The books in this list which were still tied up in hundreds in October 1905 have been marked with a tick: the rest seem to have been incorporated in the collection by Bradshaw.'
