W.M. Bristow Nigerian photographs

Y3043D has virtually no captions - there are some in Y3043E, but many of these relate to groups of photographs and the listing is therefore a summary, not an individual record.

Wanting tenor and alto trombones and 2d. fagotto. M.B.' Remaining pages in the hand of Mary Anne Bacon. Signed and dated: 'Mary Anne Bacon, Dec.r 1824'.

Wren Robinson Collection on South Africa
A collection of photographs of Basutoland (now Lesotho) and Zululand, some loose, some in albums, taken or collected by Mrs Wren Robinson while engaged in educational and welfare work. Most have handwritten captions either underneath or on the back by Mrs Robinson. The prints are kept with her papers at RCMS 220.

Collection of professional photographs, each 90 x 70 mm, published for the Yass Newsagency by the Valentine Publishing Co. Pty. Ltd., Sydney and Melbourne. Yass is 43 miles north of Canberra. Its population in 1947 was 3254.

'Your obedient servants, 1895-1918'
An unpublished account of the role of the early district officer in Kenya and the problems inherent in implementing policy, with illustrations and maps, 501 pages. There is a five-page survey of sources, but only limited source references. The book was written with the financial support of the Department of Technical Cooperation, which enabled Cashmore to spend two years on research and writing, one of which was spent in Kenya. The volume is dated at the front October 1964.

Zanzibar (Chandler Collection)
A collection of separate photographs and a panorama. The photographs date from Chandler's residence in east Africa, and are chiefly of Zanzibar Island, but 60-73 and 83-87 are of Dar es Salaam, 75 is probably of England, 88-89 are of South Africa and 90-96 are of the Victoria Falls.
