After settling an issue concerning the payment of a bill to a Mrs Ward, Mason refers to the second edition of 'The poems of Mr Gray. To which are prefixed memoirs of his life and writings', 1775, which he edited and for which he wrote the memoir: '. . . I hear nothing from you concerning the sale of it.
