South Africa 1936 (Lord Hewart Album)

Scope and Contents An album recording the visit of Lord and Lady Hewart to South Africa. The album is inscribed 'To Lord and Lady Hewart: A Momento [sic] of a Trip to South Africa'. It was presumably the work and gift of a friend who travelled with them as it covers the entire journey from leaving Southampton to their return.
