Pauline Fothergill paid several visits to Malta and, at the Librarian's request, took photographs of a number of local memorials. The following list is, firstly, of negatives (1-42) and later of prints (43-72), some of which were taken from the negatives. 1-30 are black and white negatives, 31-42 colour. 43-72 are mostly black and white prints.

A panoramic view of Grand Harbour composed of three joined prints, linen backed and measuring in total 861 x 199 mm. The panorama forms part of the collection of General Edward Charles Frome (1802-1890) of the Royal Engineers and was probably acquired by him during his period of service in Gibraltar as C.R.E. from 1862-68. Collection of prints and commercially produced photographs of Malta. Evan David Ramsden took or collected them while serving in the RAF in Malta. Though some have 'The Grand Studios, Malta' stamped on the back, this is probably the printer, not the photographer. The captions to 1-18 have been added by Donald Simpson, based in most cases on information on the back by Ramsden with modifications by his daughter, Pauline Fothergill. The captions of 19-28 are those printed on the photos.
