The principal part of the collection is a set of programmes and guides prepared for the different legs of the Royal Tour. These are supplemented by related correspondence and papers compiled by the Royal Empire Society and others. The collection is in English with the exception of one item in English and Arabic.
A collection of photographs of memorials, buildings and monuments in Malta. Pauline Fothergill paid several visits to Malta and, at the Librarian's request, took photographs of a number of local memorials. The following list is, firstly, of negatives (1-42) and later of prints (43-72), some of which were taken from the negatives. 1-30 are black and white negatives, 31-42 colour. 43-72 are mostly black and white prints.

180 x 245 mm. A head and shoulders portrait of the former Maltese Prime Minister. Photograph by Grech's Studio, 54 St. John's Street, Valletta.
Collection of prints and commercially produced photographs of Malta. Evan David Ramsden took or collected them while serving in the RAF in Malta. Though some have 'The Grand Studios, Malta' stamped on the back, this is probably the printer, not the photographer. The captions to 1-18 have been added by Donald Simpson, based in most cases on information on the back by Ramsden with modifications by his daughter, Pauline Fothergill. The captions of 19-28 are those printed on the photos.
