Newscuttings on Africa and South East Asia

The principal part of the collection is a set of thirteen scrapbooks of newscuttings relating to East Africa, particularly Kenya and Tanganyika. Panorama of Accra, circa 1910

A collection of uncaptioned loose prints, each measuring approximately 290 x 200 mm. Joined together the prints form a panoramic view of about 180 degrees. The viewpoint of the photographer is from an unidentified building between the High Street and the sea a few hundred yards east of Holy Trinity Anglican Cathedral. 'The golden stool': a novel

A novel giving a version of the Ashanti Campaign of 1900, 512 pages. The work was left unfinished at the author's death, but was completed by his widow, Mrs Helen Victoria Montagu Hall. There are inserted illustrations, including some from 'The great drama of Kumasi', and photographs supplied by the Basel Mission, including one of Hall.
