Extract from will of Elizabeth Blench, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire
Elizabeth Blench, late of Chatteris, widow, deceased, bequeathed to Robert Tingay her land in Old Halves, and Keys or Ferry Close, Chatteris, both copyhold tenements of the manor of Chatteris Ramsey. Undated extract of will dated 8 Apr 1811, the copyist has noted that the will was duly executed and proved in the Ely Consistory Court.

A moiety of 2 messuages, 8 barns, 8 stables, 700 acres of land, same of meadow, same of pasture, same of marsh etc in 'Coveney, Wettham otherwise Witcham and Doddington', counted by Sgt Firth, 27 Nov 5 George IV. Returnable on the morrow of All Souls. Two certificates signed by William Archer of the King's Silver Office, with office stamps.

The extracts were made from British Library Add. MSS 5849, 5805, 5827, 5847, 5837 and 5813, being manuscripts of William Cole. Attached to fo. 52 is a slip on which are set out references in the Harleian manuscripts to Croyland Abbey, in the hand of Edward Ventris. At fo. 54 is a loose leaf on which are extracts from Ely visitation books dealing with Oakington, made by E. Ventris, with a pencilled note from Ventris to W.G. Searle, 22 November 1873. On fo. ii is an index of contents.

Photocopy extracts from Casement's diaries 1903-4 and 1910 and cash ledger, 1911, prepared for case Rex v Casement, 1916. Including details of his visits to the Congo [later Democratic Republic of the Congo] and Peru and of his sexual activities. The diary entries are not continuous and there are gaps between entries in some places.
There has existed for many years a widely held belief that the diaries were forged.

Falkland Islands album
An album of blank paper measuring 245 x 300 mm. The first thirty pages contain a miscellaneous collection of inserted photographs, original drawings and watercolours, mostly of maritime and naval interest and of family holidays, ranging in date from 1845 to 1900. There are eight original pictures of the Falkland Islands area, some of which are initialled G.M.H. or R.C.H. The last item is a photograph of troops embarking for the South African War in 1900.
