Scope and Contents This broad heading has been used to cover a substantial collection of loose prints, dating chiefly from the period 1960-1982, but including a few of earlier date. Scope and Contents This is a semi-autobiographical memoir recording how Helen Shaw’s parents travelled to Malaya in September 1940 during the Second World War, where her father, Dr William D. Ainslie, took up the post of Medical Officer of Health, Penang. Shaw was born in May 1941.
