Lancaster; Mediterranean Photographic Album: Diary of Events and Important Places Visited during the Commission 1910-1912' on the cover. This album was the property of Sydney Harold Liddle, whose name also appears on the front cover.There are two unnumbered plates followed by 190 prints, 140 x 97 mm numbered from 9 to 197, followed by a further unnumbered print. Printed volume with text by W.M. Thomson illustrated with photographs taken by Francis Bedford. The photographs were taken whilst Bedford accompanied the Prince of Wales on his tour of the Middle East in 1862 and were published as an inexpensive alternative to Bedford (1863). The accompanying text in this volume is described as 'designedly of a popular character'.
