Researchers wishing to publish excerpts from the papers must obtain prior permission from the copyright holders and should seek advice from Archives Centre staff.
Biographical / Historical
Hardingham worked for the de Havilland Aircraft Company, 1921-34 and then for the Air Ministry, 1934-37. He worked for the Air Registration Board from 1937 until 1968 (being Chief Executive from 1947 onwards), and was then President of the Society of Licenced Aircraft Engineers and Technologists, 1968-72.
He was awarded the OBE in 1947, the CMG in 1953 and was knighted in 1969. He died in 1991.
