This section comprises correspondence and papers relating to Churchill’s final years as MP for Woodford, Essex (1955-1964). It also includes subsequent material relating to his state funeral and later correspondence, some with Lady Spencer-Churchill and Lady Soames [earlier Mary Churchill].

Immediate Source of Acquisition
The material was mainly compiled by Mrs Doris Moss MBE, the Chairman of Woodford Division Conservative Association from 1961, but was added to by Lord Jenkin of Roding, Churchill’s successor as MP for Woodford.
The material was given to the Churchill Archives Centre by Lord Jenkin in May 2001.
