Scope and Contents
Correspondents include: Frances, Lady Hadfield (5); Jacob Epstein on including MS’s comments on his work in his autobiography; Hamish Hamilton.
Other subjects include: the recruitment and training of women drivers for the Mechanised Transport Corps; plans for filming "Passport for a Girl"; the formation of the Hadfield-Spears field ambulance unit and supplies needed by the unit; MS’s decoration of the Legion d’Honneur; letters of sympathy to ELS on MS being reported missing in France.
Also includes telegrams from MS to ELS announcing her safe arrival in England.
