Two folders of Spearing's publications were received with the first accession. These were re-arranged into chronological order using Spearing's own numbered filing system (where 'P' stood for publication, with the year the piece appeared in print followed by a sequential number denoting order of publication). These papers were united with loose publications which arrived with the second accession, where annotated with references from the same numbered filing system. Spearing's system indicates that the series is not comprehensive.
