Minor Correspondents, 1936 - 2010
Scope and Contents
This sub-series is for single or two or three items of correspondence or matters that have not developed into substantial discussions. Minor does not refer to the status of all correspondents, who may be significant figures, rather that the subject matter of the correspondence is not of any special significance. Subjects dealt with are similar to all correspondents and concern mainly: publications and writing, reviews of books and papers; expert opinion about medical matters; research, scientific and operational matters; requests for: reprints, advice, opinions and assistance with matters such as: disarmament, health, medicine, politics, the environment; legal matters ,consulting and advising solicitors; involvement with many organisations; requests to participate in activities and events. Some individual correspondents provide unsolicited opinions and criticisms which can be considered unusual; others messages of support and appreciation. Where necessary, additional explanatory information and/or content has been added.
