Contents of three files all inscribed 'Radiobiology'. In 1959 the College Committee put forward a proposal to the University of London to establish a Department of Medical Radiobiology. No decision regarding a Chair of Radiobiology had been reached by 1962; Rotblat was interested in taking the post but did not wish to relinquish his Professorship of Physics which he would have been required to do. In Novembe 1962 it was agreed that Radiobiology should be run as a unit under Rotblat's supervision. In 1964 it became a sub-Department within the Department of Physics.
