Scope and Contents

Account by Reverend William Frend of his intelligence work in Rome during the Second World War. Includes a photocopy of an account by Frend of his dealings with [Ernst von] Weizsacker and the German embassy to the Vatican in July and August 1944 and the failure of a plot to assassinate Hitler.

The collection is open for consultation by researchers using Churchill Archives Centre, Churchill College, Cambridge. Churchill Archives Centre is open from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. A prior appointment and two forms of identification are required.
