Biographical / Historical

James Angus Graham was a Scottish-born politician, farmer and aristocrat. He inherited his title from his father in 1954, becoming the 7th Duke of Montrose.

During World War II, he signed up with the Admiral Commanding Reserves and was appointed Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Reserve. He joined HMS Kandahar as part of Lord Louis Mountbatten's flotilla in the North Sea
