Scope and Contents

4 copy letters from the Relief Department, Office of Public Works, Dublin, to Sir Charles Trevelyan, signed variously Sir Richard Griffith, John A. Larcom, and J. C. Walker (Secretary); and one copy letter to Colonel Jones (presumably Harry Jones, commissioner) from W. Trevelyan, conveying the wishes of Lord John Russell (Prime Minister). The letters all concern the reduction of laborers on relief works, and the general outlook for that 1847.
