Subjects include: the Komodo Dragons presented to the Zoological Society of London by 1st Lord Moyne [earlier Walter Guinness] in 1935, following his cruise on the yacht Rosaura (includes a letter from 1st Lord Zuckerman [former Resident Anatomist to the Zoological Society]); the death of Mary, Lady St Helier; Churchill's heated pool and pet swans, ducks and geese; Randolph Churchill's campaign at the Wavertree by-election [Liverpool], 1935; Churchill's attack of paratyphoid in Austria, 1932; India; air defence.

Conditions Governing Access

The collection is open for consultation by researchers using Churchill Archives Centre, Churchill College, Cambridge. Churchill Archives Centre is open from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. A prior appointment and two forms of identification are required.
