Scope and Contents
Family correspondence (mainly copies), mainly between Clementine Churchill and Sarah Beauchamp [earlier Sarah Churchill and Sarah Oliver, later Sarah, Lady Audley] on subjects including: the house for Sarah in Ebury Street [London]; Sarah's television and theatrical work in New York [United States], including touring with the play ["Gramercy Ghost"]; Antony Beauchamp photographing Greta Garbo; the premiere of Sarah's film "Wedding Bells" [released as "Royal Wedding" in the United States]; Clementine's health and recuperation from an operation; Diana Sandys [earlier Diana Churchill and Diana Bailey] going to stay with Sarah; Antony Beauchamp's future career.
Also includes: a letter from MS to Sarah; copy of a letter from Sir [Arthur] Clive Morrison-Bell to Clementine on seeing Sarah on stage; copy of a letter from Diana to Clementine, thanking her for their financial settlement.
