Scope and Contents
Copies and originals of family correspondence between MS, Clementine Churchill, Sarah Beauchamp [earlier Sarah Churchill and Sarah Oliver, later Sarah, Lady Audley] and Winston Churchill on subjects including: MS awaiting the birth of Emma Soames; CS's adoption as Conservative candidate for Bedford; MS's birthday; MS's financial situation with the family trust; the Churchills' stay with 1st Lord Ismay at Wormington Grange, Worcestershire; the marriage of Sarah to Antony Beauchamp; the loss of one of CS's broodmares.
Also includes a captioned photograph of Churchill's racehorse Colonist II being led in by CS at [?] Salisbury races [Wiltshire] and snapshots of CS and MS at Swinton Park, Yorkshire.
