Includes: copies of family correspondence, Sept-Dec 1946, mainly between Sarah Oliver [earlier Sarah Churchill, later Sarah Beauchamp and Sarah Lady Audley] and Clementine Churchill (apart from one letter from Diana Sandys [earlier Diana Churchill and Diana Bailey]), on subjects including Sarah's film work in Italy, [John] Gilbert Winant, Clementine breaking some ribs, Sarah's health problems, and MS meeting and getting engaged to CS; letter from Pamela Churchill [earlier Pamela Digby, later Pamela Hayward and Pamela Harriman] to Winston Churchill on her divorce from Randolph Churchill, Dec 1946; text of Churchill's speech at Metz [France], Jul 1946; copies of a message from [William] Mackenzie King to MS on her engagement and a letter from MS to Churchill on his birthday; letters from Jean-Louis de Ganay to MS; modern prints of photographs of MS and Churchill painting in Dinant, 1946; letter from MS to "Nana", Maryott Whyte on how much she owed her; telegram from Randolph to MS, passing on a toast and good wishes from Mackenzie King; copy of a solicitor's letter on Sarah's and MS's allowances.
