Scope and Contents
Notes relating to Sir Winston Churchill's doctor, 1st Lord Moran [earlier Charles Wilson] including: extracts and copies from the Moran Papers at the Wellcome Institute [London]; letters from Churchill's solicitor, Anthony Moir, on the annuities paid to Moran's wife and sons by Churchill, with later notes and copies of letters of thanks from the sons, [Richard] John Wilson [later 2nd Lord Moran] and Geoffrey Wilson; a copy of a letter from Anthony Montague Browne [Private Secretary to Churchill] to Moran on his concerns about Moran's intention of publishing his diaries ["The Struggle for Survival"]; copies of correspondence between Moran, CSC, Randolph Churchill and others on the book, particularly Moran's request for permission to use the portrait of Churchill by William Orpen and his being referred to the Ethics Committee of the British Medical Association.
