Subjects include: an appeal from CSC for Beaverbrook to join the War Cabinet; having to turn down hospital work; MS's engagement to Lord Duncannon [later 10th Lord Bessborough]; Beaverbrook's donations to CSC Aid to Russia Fund and other appeals; supplies to Russian hospitals; Beaverbrook's mediation between Winston Churchill and Randolph Churchill; CSC's concerns about Brendan Bracken's health; a tribute to Beaverbrook's contribution to aircraft production. Also includes reminiscences about CSC's help to the Minesweepers and Coastal Craft Fund and copies of later correspondence between CSC and Beaverbrook about the World Refugee Fund in 1959.
