Scope and Contents
Papers and correspondence, mainly between NK and Margaret Thatcher, Prime Minister, on the prosecution of the Ministry of Defence official Clive Ponting under the Official Secrets Act after he sent documents on the sinking of the Argentine warship General Belgrano during the Falklands War to the MP Tam Dalyell. Also includes: rough notes; press sources; a transcript of a Brian Walden Weekend World interview with Denzil Davies, defence spokesman, and Eldon Griffiths, former member of the Foreign Affairs select committee; letters from Tam Dalyell (2).
