Correspondence and papers including: material from JWHM's work for the War Propaganda Bureau (Wellington House), 1914–17, and subsequently the Political Intelligence Bureau, 1917-18 and Political Intelligence Department of the Foreign Office, 1918–20; correspondence and papers on JWHM's role as Historical Adviser to the Foreign Office, particularly on the history of the war and of the Peace Conference; correspondence on the founding of the British Institute of International Affairs (later the Royal Institute of International Affairs, also known as Chatham House); copies of correspondence on political affairs from the Peace Conference.
