Most of the letters, particularly the earlier ones, have been transcribed by John Julius Norwich for use in his edition of the letters, but there are some which have not been transcribed, and there are no transcriptions at all from 1957 onwards. At some points, particularly in 1947, the letters turn into diary entries.
