Miscellaneous undated letters to Clementine from correspondents including: Ava, Lady Waverley [earlier Ava Wigram and Ava, Lady Anderson] inviting her to the ballet; René Massigli, French Ambassador to Britain, thanking Clementine for some partridges; Diana Guest [Diana de la Valdène] on her sculpture exhibition in Paris [France]; 1st Lord Woolton [earlier Frederick Marquis] on his retirement from politics; Sir Anthony Bevir [former Private Secretary to Churchill] on his first meeting with Churchill at the Colonial Office; Oliver Stanley; André de Staercke, Belgian Ambassador to NATO on meeting Clementine and Churchill, whose "wisdom and vision will be much needed to get out of our difficulties"; Douglas Savory, sending Clementine some Ulster stamps; "Hinch" [Alexander Victor Montagu, Lord Hinchingbrooke] thanking Clementine for a party and the pleasure of hearing Churchill and Julian [? Sandys] speaking up for rising generations; [Claude] Nigel Davies [MP for Epping, Essex]; Harry Crookshank; Elizabeth, Lady Salisbury on the death of 1st Lord Quickswood [earlier Lord Hugh Cecil]; "Bobbety" [5th Lord Salisbury, earlier Lord Cranborne] on paying tribute to Churchill.
Also includes a list of Clementine's own furniture at No 10 Downing Street [London] and the guest list for a garden party at Blenheim Palace [Oxfordshire], c 1953.
