Correspondents include: Elise Aeschimann [Clementine's Swiss governess] (2); Clarissa, Lady Avon [earlier Clarissa Churchill and Clarissa, Lady Eden] on a stay in the West Indies, February 1960 and heart trouble suffered by 1st Lord Avon [earlier Sir (Robert) Anthony Eden]; 1st Lord Beaverbrook [earlier Max Aitken] sending Clementine flowers in tribute to her "indomitable courage" and composure; Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent, on Churchill having a fall, November 1960; Pamela Churchill [earlier Pamela Digby, later Pamela Hayward and Pamela Harriman] on her relationship with Leland Hayward.
