Letters to Clementine from: Queen Elizabeth, inviting her to tea following the christening of the Duke of Gloucester's younger son [Richard] and thanking Clementine for her sympathy on the death of her father [14th Lord Strathmore] (2); Henry, Duke of Gloucester, on the christening; Mary, the Princess Royal [also Lady Harewood] thanking Clementine for her sympathy (letter enclosed) on the wounding and capture of her son, Lord Lascelles [later 7th Lord Harewood, see also CSCT 3/55]; Sir Alan Lascelles, Private Secretary to the King, on Churchill's chapter on Richard III from his "A History of the English-Speaking Peoples".
